Hi there, I'm Jack Kelly and this is my digital resume. I am 23, and recently graduated Stetson University with a Bachelor's in political science and a minor in American studies. Below you will find links to my writing samples, blogs I have worked for, and articles I have been featured in. Thank you very much for taking the time to visit here; I hope to talk to you soon.
Writing Samples
- Here is an article that I wrote for the ABC Network's television show Everyday Health, featuring the nonprofit organization Life Rolls On, on the Flomotion Blog. Click here for the article
- Another article I wrote for Flomotion covered the nonprofit Surf for Life. The website Philanthroper was promoting the organization and I wrote an article covering the issue: Click here for the article
- This article appeared in the Stetson Reporter as well as on my music blog. It is an album review I had been assigned about an Ohio based band named Casual Friday: Click here for the article
Blogs I Write For:
- The Flomotion Blog - I work as social media coordinator and blogger for the Florida based clothing company Flomotion. I create new content, manage other bloggers, and communicate with the company about what they need done while maintaining the website.
- Perk Daily - I have become a weekly contributor to the blog Perk Daily.
- Attempts At Hip - This is my oldest website. It was created in the summer of 2009 as a way to showcase local music groups and unknown music groups to friends at my college. The website gained a decent following which kept me updating it. I still update the website now and then.
- Bears In Trees - This was a project for a Blogging 101 class. We were told to "create a blog" on any platform for any subject and keep it updated for a month. I chose the most random idea I could, a blog about bears, and it turned into a small phenomenon on my college campus. I kept updating the blog after the class ended and people continue to send me bear-related things. (Note: We were to create a "character" for this project and blog with their voice. My voice in this blog is rude and curses but gained an A grade).
Articles About Me
- In April, 2011 I was one of the final 250 candidates to be Charlie Sheen's social media intern. My college and local publications were very excited about this and I was featured in a number of articles due to this. The links to these articles can be found below:
